Wellness in Autumn

Stay grounded, Enjoy the beautiful days, cooler evenings and changes in nature !

 

Time to Strengthen our Bodies and Immune Systems for Winter.

 

Autumn is a time to Reflect , still our Hearts and Minds. Just as the trees begin to let go of their leaves and draw energy in for the winter, so must we.

Opportunity to LET GO of anything we no longer need or is holding us back from moving forward. 2026 is the Year of Moving Forward !

 

Organs related to Autumn are the Lungs and Large Intestine (stomach).

Breathing in and filling our Lungs with fresh autumn air.

Letting Go and Elimination is the process of the Large Intestines so good time for a light Cleanse.

 

BODY & MIND TIPS for Autumn

(to adjust & support your daily routines)

 

  • Start your day with a cup of warm water & slice of lemon (before tea, coffee or food) aids digest. Maybe a short morning walk !

 

  • Breathe After your Shower (standing on ground outside or inside in front of an open door for fresh air) Feet firmly on the ground, hands on lower belly, eyes closed & visualise anything or anyone you need to let go of – Long slow Breath In – Hold 1,2,3 – Slowly Breathe Out Release & Let Go – Repeat 3 times – Finish with a few slow cleansing breathes Knees slightly bent Breathe In & Out with your arms moving up & over your head & down !

 

  • Cleanse – Consider a light food detox ie REDUCE or eliminate sugar, coffee, alcohol, heavy carbs, processed foods, rich foods. INCREASE raw & steamed veggies and fruits of the Season. Cook & Eat more of the Seasonal foods !

 

  • ENJOY the Foods of Autumn & Increase them in your daily intake – Spinach, Silverbeet, Beetroot, Carrots, Peas, Snow Peas, Corn, Kiwi Fruit, Apples & Pears !

 

  • Exfoliate your whole Body in shower once week. Finish daily shower with a quick Cold Blast of water – Up & Down the Spine the central nervous system which supports all the organs in the body. Great start to each day !

 

  • Evening walk before or after dinner – even few times a week will make you feel better !

 

  • Earlier to Bed – fill your sleep tank - so important for your body & mind recovery time. Draw in & build our energy just like nature !

 

  • Focus on work / life Balance “where can I improve create better Balance. Time to soften, make changes & draw in our energy like nature. Less Techno !

 

  • Plant a few herbs or veggies to enjoy during winter. Good for the soul, mind & body !

 

  • Not the time to Start up really vigorous activities (ok if already part of your daily routine) Start in the more Action months of Spring/Summer
